Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group Presents Funding to De La Salle North Catholic High School

Funds benefit homeless and low-income families and youth within the local community
PORTLAND, OR. – November 2, 2011 – Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group presented a check at its NW Portland-Johnson branch to De La Salle North Catholic High School. MJ Steen, a top producing Realtor at the firm’s NW Portland–Johnson branch and long time supporter of the school presented the check to Matt Powell of De La Salle.
De La Salle North Catholic High School will dedicate funds to address issues that routinely surface with their high-poverty families. Funds will assist their counselors’ efforts to support students who find themselves in unstable situations due to homelessness, foster care or living apart from their family of origin.
“As I watch the graduation of our students, I am especially proud of the students who are homeless of living in foster care who walk across that stage,” says Chris Shine, Director of Donor Development for the school. Windermere Foundation funding will support these students and the challenges they face.
Windermere Real Estate has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving back to the community. In addition to helping De La Salle North Catholic High School, the associates of Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group also participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation – a non-profit organization that has raised and donated more than $10 million since its inception to support programs for low-income and homeless families in the communities served by Windermere.

De La Salle North provides a quality education for low income kids in North and Northeast Portland. Most of the students live in poverty.
