$200,000 Donated to 40 Nonprofits in 2013

Windermere Foundation Donates Nearly $200,000 to Forty Nonprofits in 2013

Portland, Ore. — January 27, 2014 — Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group, Inc. (Windermere) supported more than forty charitable organizations throughout Oregon and southwest Washington in 2013. Nearly $200,000 was given to organizations supporting low-income and homeless children and families in our communities.

The donations were distributed year round throughout the Portland metro area, the north Oregon coast, Lake Oswego, West Linn and Vancouver, Wash. Beneficiaries included Providence Portland Medical Foundation, Girls Inc., New Avenues for Youth, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Food 4 Kids in Seaside, Children’s Justice Center in Vancouver and more.

“Our end of year donation amount represents more than the act of writing checks throughout the year,” said Joan Allen, Windermere co-owner and Windermere Foundation co-chair. “The agents in our company initiated creative ways to raise money for all these worthy causes, having fun together with a common goal of strengthening our community. I am really proud to say we garnered 100% participation from agents, staff and owners.”

Ideas are already being generated for 2014 fundraising in order to continue the Windermere Foundation’s purpose of building and sustaining strong local communities.
