Windermere Foundation Presents Donation to Betties360

Funds will Support Girls Group Programming

PORTLAND, Oct. 20, 2014– DATE – Windermere Stellar recently presented a check at its Portland Heights branch to Betties360, a nonprofit headquartered in Tualatin that works to deliver outdoor experience and life skills training to girls who would otherwise not have exposure to these types of programs.

The mission of Betties360 is to inspire confidence, well-being and community in girls through action sports, outdoor adventure and life skills education. With programs in schools that have at least 70 percent of students’ families falling at or below the poverty line, Betties360 takes girls on adventures, from rock climbing to skiing, which help them develop communications, leadership, trust and teamwork skills. This $2,000 donation from the Windermere Foundation will be used for programming expenses, like equipment rental, specialty instruction, transportation costs and more.

Windermere has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income children and families and giving to the community. In addition to helping Betties360, Windermere associates participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation – a nonprofit organization that has raised and donated more than $2 million to programs supporting low-income children and families in the Portland metro and north Oregon coast area.
