Windermere Foundation Presents Funding

to Clackamas Women’s Services

This $5,000 Donation will Supply Therapeutic Play Equipment

for Children of Women who are Fleeing Domestic Abuse

PORTLAND, Ore. — May 22, 2014 — Windermere Stellar recently presented a check at its Lake Oswego branch to Clackamas Women’s Services, a nonprofit organization that fosters self-empowerment for women and children establishing a life free of domestic and sexual violence.

Clackamas Women’s Services is building a new facility that will bring multiple services to Clackamas County residents in one safe place. Services at A Safe Place Family Justice Center will include law enforcement, legal advocacy, counseling and transportation. This new facility will provide a more effective and efficient safe haven for victims of violence. The $5,000 donation will be used to purchase therapeutic play equipment for the facility to help children heal from their suffering.

Windermere has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving to the community. In addition to helping Clackamas Women’s Services, Windermere associates participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation — a nonprofit organization that has raised and donated more than $2 million to programs that support low-income children and families in the Portland metro and north Oregon coast area.
