Windermere Foundation Presents Funding to Northwest Children’s Outreach
This $2,000 Donation will Provide Hygiene Kits to Low-Income Families
PORTLAND, Ore. — September 24, 2013 — Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group, Inc. recently presented a check at its Northwest Johnson branch to Northwest Children’s Outreach, a nonprofit organization with locations throughout the Portland metro area that supplies low-income families with basic material needs, such as diapers, clothing, blankets, etc. The $2,000 donation will provide hygiene kits to children.
Northwest Children’s Outreach is a 100% volunteer-led collection and distribution center where individuals and families can donate their abundance directly to the needs of children in their neighborhood. These items are distributed by caseworkers from more than 270 local care providing agencies. Meeting the need for basic items like hygiene kits bolsters the emotional well-being of children.
Windermere has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving to the community. In addition to helping Northwest Children’s Outreach, Windermere associates participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation — a nonprofit organization that has raised and donated more than $2,000,000 to programs that support low-income and homeless families in the Portland metro and north Oregon Coast area.
