Windermere Foundation Presents Funding to
the YMCA Family Resource Center
The $3,400 donation will be used for client assistance and financial literacy classes for low-income residents in the Forrest Grove area.
PORTLAND, Ore. – June 19, 2014 – Windermere Stellar recently presented a check at its Southwest Portland branch to the YMCA Family Resource Center, a nonprofit organization located in the Forrest Grove area that provides services to more than 7,000 community members.
Financial assistance is one of the many ways the YMCA Family Resource Center supports low-income residents in the community. This can include payments for rent and utilities or basic items such as diapers and hygiene products. A portion of the $3,400 donation will support these services. The donation will also be directed toward financial literacy classes that the YMCA Family Resource Center offers to its clients.
Windermere has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving to the community. In addition to helping the YMCA Family Resource Center, Windermere associates participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation—a nonprofit organization that has raised and donated more than $2 million to programs that support low-income children and families in the Portland metro and north Oregon coast area.
