Windermere Foundation Presents Funding to Astoria Rescue Mission
This $1,500 Donation will Support the Renovation of the Family Shelter
Windermere Brokers present a Windermere Foundation donation to Astoria Rescue Mission.
GEARHART, Ore. – October 13, 2014 – Windermere Stellar recently presented a check at its Gearhart branch to Astoria Rescue Mission, a nonprofit organization that provides food, clothing, shelter and additional services to homeless people on the north Oregon coast.
Currently there is not a homeless shelter that serves families in the area. Astoria Rescue Mission is working to meet that need with the renovation of a new family shelter facility — which can be the only place for a family to turn when they are in need of a safe, stable and nurturing environment. The $1,500 donation from the Windermere Foundation will support this renovation project.
Windermere Stellar has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving to the community. In addition to helping Astoria Rescue Mission, Windermere Stellar associates participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation – a nonprofit organization that has raised and donated more than $2 million to programs that support low-income children and families on the north Oregon coast and in the Portland metro area.
