Windermere Foundation Presents Funding to St. Vincent de Paul Society
PORTLAND, Ore. — May 13, 2015 — Windermere Stellar recently presented a $2,000 donation to St. Vincent de Paul’s food pantry, located in Gearhart. Beyond feeding a portion of the hungry within this coastal community, the food pantry also provides assistance with donated books for children, clothing and some limited financial assistance.
St. Vincent de Paul will use the donation to purchase food for the pantry, which served more than 3,300 families, including more than 300 children, in 2014.
“Donating food to St. Vincent de Paul is always commendable, but we are humbled to be able to make a cash donation,” said Pam Ackley, Windermere Foundation Representative and Windermere Stellar Real Estate Broker. “Cash makes a great impact as it will enable the pantry to purchase much needed food items in bulk.”
