Windermere Foundation Donates to Camp Retreat Ministries

Windermere Foundation Presents Funding to Camp Retreat Ministries

This $2,000 Donation will Allow Camp Retreat Ministries to

Provide a Creation Vacation for Low-Income Families

Portland, Ore.—July 18, 2013Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group, Inc. presented a check at its Southwest Portland branch to Camp Retreat Ministries, a nonprofit organization that takes low-income families throughout Oregon on outdoor-oriented Creation Vacations.

Camp Retreat Ministries will use the $2,000 for food and board costs so that low-income families can take a family vacation and enjoy the outdoor environment together. These vacations provide relaxation, recreation, and renewal for families who would otherwise not have this opportunity.

Windermere has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving to the community. In addition to helping Camp Retreat Ministries — Creation Vacation, Windermere associates participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation — a nonprofit organization that has raised and donated more than $1,000,000 to programs that support low-income and homeless families in the Portland metro and north Oregon Coast area.

About the Windermere Foundation

For every home that is bought or sold through Windermere, the Windermere Foundation donates a portion of the proceeds toward supporting low-income and homeless families in our communities. What started in 1989 as a grassroots foundation has grown to encompass ten states and has raised $25 million for programs and organizations that provide shelter, clothing, children’s programs, emergency assistance, and other services to those who need our help most.

In Oregon, Windermere has raised more than $1,000,000 for the Windermere Foundation in support of local organizations offering housing and services to homeless and low-income families. Organizations such as Bridge Meadows, New Avenues for Youth, and Providence Portland Medical Foundation-Guest Housing were included in the 2012 giving.
