Portland, Ore.—March 16—Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group, Inc. Marathon Education partners matches adult sponsors with fourth grade studentts to provide individualized guidance, as well as academic scholarships. This $1,500 donation will be dedicated to sending incoming students to visit college campuses, which increases the odds that the child will attend college.

About the Windermere Foundation

For every home that is bought or sold through Windermere, the Windermere Foundation donates a portion of the proceeds toward supporting low-income and homeless families in our communities. What started in 1989 as a grassroots foundation has grown to encompass ten states and has raised $25 million for programs and organizations that provide shelter, clothing, children’s programs, emergency assistance, and other services to those who need our help most.

In Oregon, Windermere CCRGI has raised more than $1,000,000 for the Windermere Foundation in support of local organizations offering housing and services to homeless and low-income families. Organizations such as New Avenues for Youth, YWCA of Greater Portland and Habitat for Humanity were included in the 2012 giving. More information can be found at www.windermere.com/foundation.
