Windermere Foundation Presents $1,500 to Children’s Developmental Health Institute

Windermere Foundation Presents Funding to the Children’s Developmental Health Institute

This $1,500 Donation will Support Children with Developmental Disabilities

Portland, Ore.—June 12, 2013—Windermere Cronin & Caplan Realty Group, Inc. presented a check at its Lake Oswego branch to the Children’s Developmental Health Institute, a nonprofit organization located in Southwest Portland that provides therapy to children with developmental disabilities, including autism and attention deficit disorder.

The Children’s Developmental Health Institute will dedicate the $1,500 to scholarships for children from low-income backgrounds. These children will receive specialized, team-based, developmental care that will give them the opportunity to realize their full potential. Rates of developmental disabilites in children are on the rise, and are more prevalent for children from low-income backgrounds.

Windermere has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving to the community. In addition to helping The Children’s Developmental Health Institute, the Windermere associates also participate in annual community service projects and donate a portion of every commission to the Windermere Foundation — a nonprofit organization that has raised more than $1,000,000 for programs that support low-income and homeless families in the Portland metro and north Oregon Coast area.

About the Windermere Foundation

Windermere Real Estate has a long-standing tradition of assisting low-income families and giving back to the community. For every home that is bought or sold through Windermere, the Windermere Foundation donates a portion of the proceeds toward supporting low-income and homeless families in our communities. What started in 1989 as a grassroots foundation serving Seattle-area families in need, has grown to encompass ten states and has raised $25 million for programs and organizations that provide shelter, clothing, children’s programs, emergency assistance, and other services to those who need our help most.

In Oregon, Windermere CCRGI has raised more than $1,000,000 for the Windermere Foundation in support of local organizations offering housing and services to homeless and low-income families. Organizations such as Bridge Meadows, New Avenues for Youth, and Providence Portland Medical Foundation were included in the 2012 giving.
