Autism Society of Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. — May 13, 2015 — Windermere Stellar recently presented a $750 donation at its Gearhart branch to the Autism Society of Oregon’s Clatsop County Chapter. The nonprofit organization improves the quality of life for individuals with autism by empowering them, their families and service providers through offering support and information.
The Autism Society of Oregon will use the donation to help fund monthly support groups, activity days for families and the “Take a Break” program for parents. The organization also aims to send ten children to camp for free this summer in order to boost self-esteem and social skills.
“This amazing program supports families in our community with training, counseling, family fun nights, outdoor activities and even date nights for parents with free child care so couples can get some quality time together,” said Pam Ackley, Windermere Foundation representative and Windermere Stellar real estate broker.
